Project Take Back—reimagined for a new generation.

SAFE. ALIVE. FREE.™ All-Star Weekend carries forward the spirit of UYC’s original Project Take Back: bringing young people, credible mentors, families and community leaders together around safety, belonging and possibility.

In a time when violence dominates headlines, the All-Star Weekend creates a visible alternative through competition, mentorship, wellness, education, career connections and family engagement. Dates, site, teams, partners and sponsors remain tentative until confirmed.

01

Compete

Organized youth play, skills, teams and an environment built around respect and sportsmanship.

02

Connect

Credible mentors, coaches, families and community leaders in the same space.

03

Advance

Wellness, education, leadership, workforce and future athletic pathways.

Play opens the door.
Follow-through changes what comes next.

Athletics is the entry point—not the finish line. The proposed model surrounds the weekend with mentoring, leadership, education, employment, wellness, referrals and 30–90-day follow-through.

THE PROMISE
Every young person leaves connected to a trusted adult, a next opportunity and a community committed to helping them remain safe, alive and free.
Explore education, workforce & life pathways

Reward commitment.
Build what comes next.

These elements are part of the proposed All-Star Weekend model and will be finalized as funding, partners and participation criteria are confirmed.

04

National expansion

Ferome Brown’s long-term vision is to bring the tournament model to communities across the country—helping young people reclaim their futures from gun violence, street tragedy and hopelessness.

Help take the vision from plan to court.

Thank you for your interest and support. Together, we can help young people claim safer choices, meaningful opportunity and a brighter future.
